Nutrition Month 2018 Theme

The National Nutrition Council (NNC) Technical Committee selected this year’s Nutrition Month theme. After thorough review by the NNC Secretariat and Technical Committee of the 142 entries received by the NNC, the chosen theme for this year’s Nutrition Month campaign is “Ugaliing magtanim, Sapat na nutrisyon aanihin!,” an entry sent by Ms. Julie Ann Q. Colipano of Valencia City, Bukidnon. ~ NCC

2016 Nutrition Month Celebration

The National Nutrition Council announces the theme for this year's Nutrition Month Celebration. The NNC will lead the whole nation in this celebration, with the purpose to disseminate nutrition-related messages through the said theme. Specifically, the celebration aims to:
  1. create awareness on the importance of proper infant and young child feeding practices, specifically the exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life and giving appropriate complementary food after six months with continuous breastfeeding;
  2. promote collaboration among stakeholders at the national and local levels for health programs for families with pregnant women and children less than two years old; and
  3. serve as a venue for launching of the Early Childhood Care and Development Intervention Package (ECCD-IP) for the first 1000 days.
DepEd enjoins all schools to participate in this celebration by undertaking meaningful activities which will highlight the importance of the first 1000 days of life. However, it is emphasized that the Engaged Time-on-Task policy of the DepEd should be observed as stipulated in the DepEd Order No. 5, s. 2005.

Junior MasterChef (GenTinian Edition)

Last July 24, 2015, we held the very first Junior Master Chef (GenTinian Edition), through the efforts of TLE Club and Junior Computer Club officers and members. This contest is based on the popular cooking contest TV show. We just modified some rules like participants will join as pair and that the dishes they need to prepare should be nutritious and low calorie.

This is the advertisement poster I designed to promote this event:
